The Wisdom of Age Project is an on-going work that documents the stories, and sometimes wisdom, of our elderly neighbors. We’re interested in hearing from you, too, your response and your contributions that help challenge ageist stereotypes by revealing the life, vitality and insights of stories.

The work in this part of the project—Hampton Roads 2009 & 2011—comes from the Community Storytelling & Documentary Studies class at Christopher Newport University, Newport News, Virginia, from August to December 2009 and from January to April in 2011.
The Wisdom of Age Project is published by The Rising Press in association with Documentary Studies at Christopher Newport University. The copyrighted work in this project may be linked to blogs and web sites. We ask only that you let us know and send us the link.
